SoRa, Matt, Keun, and me - a fun picture with our littlest brothers...they are so cute =)

Me and Jeni - You looked amazing last night and I'll miss you so much (especially your laughter and randomness)!

Me and Chelsea - I'm gonna miss you so much! Last night was a blast and you looked beautiful!

My "prom"

At my school the high school banquet is talked about for months prior to the actual event. Girls plan out their dresses, some buy material to get one made, they try and figure out who's gonna ask who, and all that fun stuff. The guys go and always look great and some of them get pretty into, buying (pink) shirts, wondering if the food will be good, and I'm sure thinking about how nice the girls look (right guys?) This year was basically the same as any other. I would like to say though that the junior class did an excellent job of planning many details (cute fish bowls and sparkling cider bottles on the table) and it turned out to be an amazing night. Tons of pictures were taken. I do believe that I had a picture with almost everyone there. They were lining up to get their picture taken with me. That was really sweet and showed me that I'll be missed. There were class pics, Breadtalk memory pics, random pics with Andrew picking up Janalyn, of course the classic date pics, and many more to create lasting memories of the night. During the actual program, each of the 12 seniors had a slideshow of baby pics leading up to some currents pics with one of our favorite songs playing, and we each had one student and one parent/teacher talk about us. I was priveledged to have a great friend, Jeni, talk about me and to have both of my parents share something. It was a special night, with not as many tears as expected. However, since my mom didn't cry last night, Josh (a teacher) says that "once that dam breaks on graduation day it's gonna flood." In other words, watch out cause that woman can cry! The whole night was fun and filled with laughter and celebration. Afterwards, all the parents and teachers went home and most of the high schoolers stayed to watch Hitch and make s'mores out in the grouds of the hotel. It was beautiful out there. I got to jump on the trampoline with Val in my dress. That was fun. Now it's 5 days until graduation and it's really beginning to sink in. Last night was a great way to be able to have a fun closing.

The very lovely high school girls (well most of them at least). Yes, my school is small.

My parents looking young and in love.

The most exciting table of the night...stealing croissants, suffocating the fire, popping corks into innocent bystanders heads and the list goes on...

And we thought she'd never do it...look at her all beautiful in the dress and with her hair done too!

School

It's Friday and I only have 3 days of school left. Graduation is in one week and it's coming fast. Tomorrow night is the annual High School Banquet. It's basically like prom except there's no dancing and most of the senior's parents come. It should be fun. Katie and Sheri I'll miss you this year. Last year was fun playing pool and staying up late. This year is of course in honor of my senior class of 12. They'll show baby pictures of us and someone will speak on our behalf about how much we have grown or what we have meant to the school. All of these good byes and wrapping up the past 4 years is kinda scary. Everything's going by in a daze. I just want to make the best of these last two weeks and enjoy each moment. Well I hope you all enjoy the next two weeks. I'll post some pictures tomorrow night after the banquet. Have a great day!

What's this all about?

Hey everyone...
Especially with going off to college, it's going to be hard to keep up with you all (though I will do my best).
So, I decided to get one of these blog things to keep everyone up to date.
I'm gonna work on posting something at least once every 2 weeks.
Check it out if you want and if you have time.

Me with Abby's puppy, Trixy. She's cute! And that's my awesome room in the background which Yuhei, Chels, and I painted 2 days after we moved in at the end of December.

This is me very happily eating fish, crab, shrimp, rice, and I think clam at Menega's. Actually I really don't like seafood and everyone was very impressed that I was eating it. Especially Mr. Richardson (he's the guy sitting beside me...my Bible teacher and the Athletic Director at my school).

A beautiful sunset from my last night in Bali on my senior trip. This was taken at Menega's (an "amazing" seafood restaurant that's right on the sand).

Yuhei, me, John, and Chels. Our last day in Bali for our senior trip. That was a fun couple of days with some really good talks and lots of laughter.

Update on me

As of today there are 12 days left until I graduate. I'm excited but also scared. Graduation day should be funny because my mom and a bunch of other moms will be crying, which means I'll cry, which means SoRa will cry. It will be the Domino Effect of crying. Until then I've got some school work left to do. I finished my novel (for Lit. class) so that's a huge relief. I've gotta pack up my room and do a bunch of organizing before I leave for the States on June 14. I'm really excited about going back to the States! I get to go see Katie and go to Preston's wedding. I'll hopefully see Nate and Sheri. And I'll see Joy, Becca, and Rachel in Orlando. It's gonna be an awesome summer. Until then, I'm going to cherish my last few days in Bandung! Today was quite a workout. I went on a hike to the Dago Tea House (about an hour) with some short termers and a couple friends. Since I have barely done a thing since basketball ended a month ago, I think I'm going to be pretty sore tomorrow!! It was fun though. Bandung is so beautiful.
