Anberlin concert
Maria, me, and Danielle squished in the middle of the crowd at the Anberlin concert that we went to last Saturday night. It was crowded, loud, and fun! There were 4 opening bands (one sounded bad, two were screaming bands, and one was pretty good). One of the opening bands was Embrace the Beauty which my friend Danielle's boyfriend plays in. All the bands were Christian bands which is unusual but it was cool. The concert was at the Chameleon Club in downtown Lancaster. It's a small place with a small stage but it was packed with people and it was a lot of fun. In November I'm going back to the Chameleon Club to see Switchfoot (I'm super excited about that!)

Stephen Christian the lead singer of Anberlin. Not the most flattering picture but oh well.

From the band Embrace the Beauty this is Jordan (the guitarist), he is the boyfriend of my friend Danielle from across the hall. He was so nervous opening up for Anberlin.

LBC campus pictures
Sunrise this morning at 7am...it was 45F degrees outside, I could see my breath in the air. It's not even the end of September and I'm freezing already.

Sunrise at 8am after I got out of my final really early morning class.
This is the drive by thing next to the library
On the left is the SAC (Sebastian Academic Center) classrooms, the middle is Peterson Hall, and on the right is the library and administration building.
The SAC building again...I have my three office classes in there.
The left wing of Peterson Hall.
This is the main entrance to Peterson Hall (that's Maria). The guys all live on the bottom of Peterson and the girls all live on the top. A lot of the students live in Peterson but there are also two smaller dorms (one for guys and one for girls) and then there are three small apartment style dorms: South, East, and West, Nate lives in East. If you walk out of this front door of Peterson and walk straight ahead for about 30 seconds then you will be at the apartments.
This is the right wing of Peterson. My room is the second window from the right but on the back side of the building looking out into a big field.
Some LBC campus shots and friends
Miller Hall...where we check our mail, play ping pong, and watch Prison Break, LOST, and Project Runway

An "artistic" shot by Maria of part of the cafeteria

Scandalous...she was standing in the guys hallway!

Suzie and I trying very hard to be serious...it took a long time to get this picture

An interesting shot that Maria took of Chris and the remote...he's intrigued by the rice krispie treats that we made

an afternoon at the mall
This is Maria's "ghetto" car and Suzie and I felt like standing on it...we almost dented the trunk...just kidding...this is a 1988 (as old as Suzie) and was solid as a rock and fun to jump on :)

She was in love!

So these were some really ugle blanket/sweaters that Maria and I found in Kohl's...and the hats just topped it all...

This is Suzie being excited about the super bright wallet she's had since she was 10...or maybe she's excited because her birthday is coming up and we feel compelled to buy her a new one.

Those tostado chips were good :)

Our group picture that once again skilled Maria took.

Suzie, me, and Maria with special treats for Nate.

So Suzie and I were at Wal-Mart on Saturday and we decided it would be fun to dye our hair. We spent about 20 minutes in the hair color aisle (yes there is an entire aisle of it) trying to choose the perfect colors. With little help from Jerry, (who said, "why can't you girls hurry up? you'll look good no matter what") we finally chose the perfect colors. And this is how it went...

Maria was super excited about getting to dye our hair
Suzie was a bit perplexed as to how it would turn out...

Maria assured us that she had everything under control and had dyed hair for lots of her friends in the past. As you can tell I put my full confidence in her...

In the end, Suzie decided to audition for a Loreal hair commercial...
Tomorrow I'll post pics of my outcome. We like it...

more recent pics :)
The long hallway that Gina and I must trudge down multiple times a day to get to and from our room. There are 2 hallways and 3 sections on each hallway (one section is made up of 4 dormrooms on one side of the hall and 4 dormrooms on the other side). Therefore my section has 16 (actually 17) girls in it but my suite (just my side of the hall) has only 8 girls. Does any of that make sense?? :)

Our suite door that leads into our 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and lounge. Our theme is "Lilies of the Valley."

Our little lounge for the 8 of us girls. The big lounge where everyone watches movies and studies (and guys can come) is out at the end of the hallway.

Gina and me, and Katie and Jenna share this bathroom with 2 sinks, a toilet, and a shower. Pretty sweet...

Looking into the room. Gina's side is purple and mine is red.

Looking out. We each have a nice big closet and desk.

Gina's side of the room.

My side of the room. I like the elevated bed and lots of storage space underneath.

The curtains that Gina and I made for our room. We bought fabric and some fake flowers and some push pins. When we got back from Wal-Mart we realized that we didn't have a hammer to put the push pins in with so we used a brush. Conair brushes are very sturdy. It lasted through the curtain operation and two small bookshelves, then on the final nail of the last bookshelf the brush cracked and now dangles.

The view out my dorm room window. Cornfields, a church, a mini graveyard, some forrest, a lot of grass, and a random porta potty (weird). To the left is a baseball field and to the right part of the parking lot.

Me, Gina, and Amanda on the tram at Hershey Park.

Alison, Suzie, and Ashley excited about the tram

A roller coaster that Suzie and I went on. I love roller coasters now!
