today and tomorrow

almost one year ago today, i was at a mall in indonesia with 3 of my best friends. i was passed out on the floor and they were fanning me, frantically buying me juice, and holding up my head. that was the day that i got the cartilage in my ear pierced. i'm not really sure how i made it through, considering i hate needles enough to make me sick and faint. it was good for the end of last school year because it was a great memory to have with my three friends. two days later 2 of those friends left indonesia for good, so that was our final night together with the 4 of us. however, after that day i swore "never again" for any piercings. haha! well today changed that. since it is almost the one year aniversary of that event and since i am graduating tomorrow, 3 friends and i decided to once again return to that mall and get another piercing. this time i got a second hole on my right ear and i didn't faint. as one friend held my head, the other 2 looked at me, talking and praying (to distract me), as the woman held the gun to my ear and shot the earring through. it was painful, of course, but well worth the memory. this time i thought i was ok but i decided to sit for a while, then suddenly i began to sweat profusely, my hearing went, and my vision was slightly blurred. however, thanks to my devoted friends, i made it through and didn't faint.
anyway, on to less painful subjects...earlier today we had practice for graduation. it was actually pretty funny because my whole class is kind of in shock that we're actually graduating. it all seems so surreal and hasn't quite sunk in yet. i'm sure tomorrow though will be a river of tears. my class is all pretty good friends with each other. we have a lot of fun together and are all nice people. tomorrow a lot of people will be there to say good bye to us and say congratulations. everyone has bets on my mom crying the most and setting off the domino effect of the rest of the auditorium and stage of graduates. i am looking forward to tomorrow (make that today since it's now 12:30 AM). i think the day will be filled with surprises and a lot of fun!
