the fog has begun to settle...

It’s hard to believe that you can love someone that you have just met but the moment I met Zoe I loved her. The Beeson’s are back and, needless to say, I take every opportunity that I get to hold baby Zoe. She is so adorable and small and she drools so much but that’s ok because I just love her. Now that we have that cleared up I can move on to other things.

So, I subbed for Becky for 2nd grade and it went really well, I still don’t want to be a teacher, but I really love her class. The kids are so much fun and of course they still call me Miss Lauren…man I am getting old!

Hmm...some things I’ve been doing for fun (other than holding Zoe…oh yeah major tragedy I babysat her but she slept the whole time so I couldn’t even hold her, I can’t wait until she starts taking that bottle so I can babysit her more)…anyway…I have been keeping stats at the Varsity basketball games and I really enjoy it. The games are more exciting and I’m learning more about the game. Being on the team last year was great (maybe not at the time but I think I’ve learned some valuable lessons from it). Another thing that I do for fun is listen to Far Away by Nickelback over and over and over again because that song is just beautiful. And let’s see…last thing I can think of is watching American Idol…I almost had a heart attack when Katherine got in the bottom 3, she is so amazing!! However, I must say that Chris is definitely going to win because his voice is just so soothing and wow there are just no words to explain.

Thursday there was no school so today (Friday) totally felt like Monday but now it’s Friday night and it’s the weekend again (kinda) so it’s pretty cool…am I making sense to anyone? Ok and Monday and Tuesday are normal days but then on Wednesday-Friday is Week Without Walls, but I’m skipping it and going to Aceh until Saturday then meeting Jess and all them in the airport and flying to Bali for Spring Break, then coming back and spending time with my family. To summarize – Aceh for 3 days, Bali for 4 days, family for 5 days.

As for this summer and the fall I am slowly getting news of what is to come so I’m excited to find out what the final decisions will be and where God is taking me. It’s really scary (as I have said many times before) but at the moment I feel like I am on the edge of a cliff and something is about to happen, and when it does I know it will b perfect. Anyway, when I find out for sure what those things are then I will share.

Super exciting news…the Richardson’s (Joy is one of my closest friends who I have known since I was 2 and first moved to Indonesia) are coming to the retreat in Bali and I’ll be going as well. I am so so so excited because I really wanted to go! Also, super exciting news, I found out that Yuhei is coming in June! That just makes me so happy that I will see SoRa, John, and Yuhei. =) =)

Ok, well I think I’ll end on that happy happy note and just say good night, I love you, and thanks for reading my various rants of randomness (the “ness” is for you Yuhei). If any of you all have extra time I would love to hear from you!

Not the typical cap and gown but a graduation none the less. Megan was in full BAIS school spirit in her blue Friday shirt. She graduated a couple months earlier and is now probably laying in a beach in Australia or shopping and will soon be on her way back to California. Love you Megan!

She gets cuter and cuter every time I see her...isn't she just precious?

Mark and Maria, the beautiful bride and groom in semi-traditional Indonesian apparel. It was a lovely wedding and they are so cute together! Val and I had fun taking random pictures all day.

Jess and I at the reception which was held at some military hall downtown. The reception was filled with people, food, a choir, Val and Jennie serenading the new couple, and lots of long lines. It was a fun night.

Me and Karston...one of the adorable 2nd graders that I have been teaching this past week while their teacher was away. Tomorrow is my last day of subbing and I'm going to miss it. I still see the kids everyday though.

Faith and I after the wedding. The first group of people in line got a little bouquet of flowers but of course I didn't because I'm always late for everything, Faith got one though. Later at the reception the were a bunch of girls running to catch Maria's bouquet when she threw it...I was not one of those girls.

After the wedding Val and I hung out at my house until the reception. We had some free time and were bored so we took some pictures...this was one of our "trying to look serious poses."
