adjustment

I do have facebook now for anyone who is wondering.

It's a lot more humid than I thought it would be up here in Pennyslvania. The first couple days of orientation it was SO hot and sticky then yesterday afternoon it just started pooring. Like in Indonesia when there are clear skies and then the rain comes out of no where, it was kind of like that except there was a tornado warning last night. The campus is kinda spread out. I know it's nothing like Chels or Katie's school...we only have 900 people...but hey it's still frustrating to be stuck in the dorm when you have to walk across the campus for dinner. Speaking of food, it is much better with healthier options (and less southern and greasy) than CIU was.

As for friends, I hang out with Suzie, Alecia, Allison, Shley (short for Ashley), and Gina (my roommate) mostly. There are other girls in our suite (our sweeties) that we hang out with as well. No guys yet, that’s kinda sad. I’m not one of those “I must get a boyfriend” college girls, I just want guy friends!! Yesterday I did hang out with Nate and Dave in between classes. We went to Wachovia (by the way Chels that’s a bank and it’s pronounced Wah-ko-via but Nate and Dave were saying Watch-ova-ya just for fun and it reminded me of you) we also went to Wal-Mart and that’s where the drenching rain all began (poor Dave had left his sun roof open and some windows half down).

I have an ok schedule that includes:
- Integrated Computer Applications
- Office Procedures
- Keyboarding and Formatting
- Biblical Hermeneutics
- Spiritual Life and Evangelism
- Christian Service (meets at 7am!! on Wednesday but only for 4 weeks until we actually go out and do Christian service)

There would be a couple pictures on here by now but the college kind of reformatted everyone’s computers to make sure they were virus-free and that we can’t load any “bad stuff” and in the process it messed it up so that my computer won’t read anything or download anything. So, I’ll be getting that fixed next week and then add some pictures.

In the past three days I’ve gone to Wal-Mart three times. I think I have everything now. It was quite hard to find anything there because pretty much every college and every other student was at Wal-Mart because everyone was going back to school. At LBC we have chapel every day and we get 13 excused chapels per semester however, Gina and I walked into our first chapel yesterday and didn’t realize we have to swipe our student ID cards for attendance, so technically we have already missed one. We’re going to talk with student services about that so we were obviously there.

If you would like to pray for me here are some things that I would like prayer for:
* Making good, encouraging, Godly friends (guys and girls)
* Focusing on God and being reminded that I’m to live for Him each day
* Finding my strength and comfort in God
* Dealing with all the adjustments of having a roommate, leaving friends and family, making new friends, finding my niche at LBC, etc.
